Full Time Job Summary This position plays a vital role in the overall mission of The Shoulder.
The Director of Operations is responsible for the physical plant and supply chain.
The Director of Operations ensures that all staff have the resources they need to perform their duties.
The Director of Operations is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all properties owned by The Shoulder.
Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree in psychology, business management, supply chain, or other related field is preferred Experienced in overseeing operations in a non-profit is preferred.
Experience in working with a population in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction is preferred.
Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid AL Driver's License.
Be able to obtain and maintain a valid MAC worker certification.
Job Duties Maintenance Responsibilities Ensures that all properties owned by The Shoulder is in compliance with Life Safety Standards as defined by the Alabama Department of Mental Health.
Develop and maintain a maintenance log for each vehicle owned by the organization.
Ensures routine maintenance is completed in a timely manner for all vehicles owned and operated by The Shoulder.
Assesses and addresses maintenance issues that arise on all vehicles owned and operated by The Shoulder.

Ensures routine maintenance is completed in a timely manner for all facilities owned and operated by The Shoulder.
Assesses and addresses maintenance issues that arise on all facilities owned and operated by The Shoulder.
Coordinating projects with clients and third-party vendors as needed to ensure maintenance needs of the agency are met.
Solicit and maintain contracts with third-party vendors as needed.
Supply Chain Responsibilities Acts as a purchasing agent for The Shoulder which includes purchasing all supplies needed for all of the facilities owned by The Shoulder.
In coordination with the Administrative Director for each site, ensuring that kitchen staff have needed items for meal preparation.
Ensuring that all supplies are stored and managed in an appropriate manner.
Soliciting and arranging for the pick-up of donations in support of the daily operations of The Shoulder.
Coordinating with the Director of Public Relations to ensure that all donations are acknowledged in a timely manner.
Solicit and maintain contracts with third-party vendors as needed.
Other Responsibilities Attends leadership team meetings.
Develops and maintains the emergency operations plan for the facility.
Serves as authorized check-signer for the agency.
Makes weekly runs to the bank for the deposit.
Makes weekly runs twice per week to the post office for mail.
Assisting residents in their self-administration of medication in accordance to the MAC worker policies as needed.
Assisting Program Staff in conducting room and vehicle searches in accordance to program policy and procedure as needed.
Conducting urine drug screens in accordance with program policy and procedure as needed.
Work together with other employees utilizing a team approach to accomplish the overall mission of The Shoulder.
Treat all clients, employees, and vendors with dignity and respect.
Any other duties as assigned.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
