Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the expansion of Geosyntec's practice in Mobile, AL and/or Gulfport, MS;Contributing to new business development by identifying project pursuits, supporting positioning efforts, developing winning strategies and ideas, and preparing proposals;Collaborating with other lead practitioners to position for, win, and deliver new projects, and to cross-sell the Firm's environmental and engineering services;Mentoring staff in technical competency, project delivery, quality management, health and safety, and client service;Providing technology leadership in the areas of environmental engineering/science or civil engineering focused on the areas of stormwater, water quality improvement, aquatic ecology, ecosystem restoration, regulatory compliance for diverse water resource-related projects (e.
g.
, urban development, ecosystem restoration, harbor maintenance dredging, etc.
); andProviding outstanding client service and building and maintaining strong client relationships that result in repeat business.
Training:
This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm.

Overnight travel:
Up to 20%Education and Licensure:
Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering; geology; or ecology, biology, or other related natural sciences.
(required)Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering; geology; or ecology, biology, or other related natural sciences.
(preferred)Professional licensure (engineer, geologist, or applicable) in Alabama, Louisiana, and/or Mississippi.
(preferred)Skills, Experience and
Qualifications:
At least 8 years (10
preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
(required)Demonstrated strong interest to help grow and build a business in the Gulf Coast.
(required)Proven track record in client development and management.
(required)Strong oral and technical writing skills.
(required)Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and project experience related to federal and state regulations and permitting (i.
e.
Clean Water Act, Rivers and Harbors Act, etc.
).
(preferred)Ability to obtain OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training.
(required)Valid U.
S.
driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
