The Director of Technology provides operational leadership, direction, and administration to the various components of the Academy's technology resources and staff. Maintains all aspects of the Academy's Network and Web Development needs. Installs, implements and troubleshoots all hardware, software and related services. Responsible for user accounts, access rights and overall network security. Provides technical support to users. Maintains the Academy's phone system; maintains complete confidentiality at all times.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Master's degree in computer science preferred. One or more of the following certifications desired: A+, Network +CCNA, MSCA. In-depth working knowledge of the following: Microsoft Office, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2000, 2003, Active Directory, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Linux, DNS, WINS, DHCP, SMTP, POP3, VLAN, 802.11a/b/g, WEP, WPA, Cisco IOS, Cisco PI, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MVC Programming, Apache, Phusion Passenger, Nginx, SQLite, Postfix, Ruby on Rails, SASS, HAML.
Knowledge of voice and data wiring standards; Understanding of PBX operation; knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise; ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments; strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to initiate and direct technical projects in support of strategic and operational goals. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; Strategic planning skills; ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals for state-of-the-art information technology; ability to negotiate contractual arrangements for the provision of information technology.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
