We are currently seeking Occupational Therapist to work for one of our clients here in Daphne, Alabama. This is a full-time role with excellent pay and benefits.
Ideal Candidates will perform the following:
Implement and administer therapy programs to ensure and enhance performance using selected activities and equipment.
Perform evaluations to determine level of function
Select appropriate plan and implements therapeutic interventions to enhance performance in developmental areas.
Monitors progress through observation and consultation with other professionals to determine the effect of intervention and need for continuations, modification, or termination.
Document Occupational Therapy intervention services and maintains administrative records in accordance with state guidelines, center policy and reimbursement standards.
Must have the following
Experience:
Knowledge of occupational therapy theories, models of practice, principals, and evidence based practice.
Must have knowledge of Sensory Integration theory and practices
Knowledge of federal, state, local legislation, regulations, policies and procedures and mandate and affect private pediatric occupational therapy services.
Must be familiar with DIR approach to Floortime
Must have experience with SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding Therapy
Job Requirements:
Candidates who are interested in this role should have the following Education & Experience
Ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current Alabama licenses as a certified occupational therapist by the state of ASBOT (Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy)
Successful completion and graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program recognized by NBCOT and completion of all fieldwork requirements
2-5 years of experience as an occupational therapist in pediatrics or field experience in a pediatric setting.
2-5 years of experience working with children, preferable on the Autism Spectrum of Disorders
Must have experience working with children, preferably on the Autism Spectrum of Disorders
